Soooo good! Ordered a custom birthday cake on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday. It was the most delicious Black Forrest cake I've ever had! Highly recommended and will definitely go back.
I have a lot of delicious childhood memories here. I loved the sugar cookies, gingerbread girls, and giant smiley face sprinkle cookies back then, and I love the cannolis and strawberry cake now. I hope they stick around for a long time!

This bakery is phenomenal. I try to make it to a bakery ever 2 weeks or so for a treat. I've had little success in nova. I drove down here to visit my family and picked Chandler's randomly. The selection is crazy. Each dessert we picked out was meticulously crafted and the quality was unbelievable. The strawberry shortcake and fruit tart are my go to. This will be my pit stop every time I'm in the area. Great people, great bakery.
I visit Chandler's bakery weekly. It has such an incredible variety of desserts. I love the checkerboard cake slice and my wife loves the lemon coconut cake slice. The cookies are delicious with a nice variety of sugar, chocolate chip/chunk, and my families favorite fudge fingers. Do not forget the bread, Chandler's has the best fresh Italian bread in Charlottesville. I am off to Chandler's this morning to get an M&M birthday cake!
I'm a teacher, and this past spring I experienced Chander's for the first time when another teacher brought two cakes from Chandler's for an occasion for our 8th graders. Oh. My. Wow. The cake was absolutely fantastic. The traditional yellow cake/ buttercream icing was perfect. The chocolate cake/ fudge icing was even better. I don't even like chocolate cake. Now I do- all because of you, Chandler's, all because of you. Recently, it was my husband's birthday. He wanted cake, and we were in town thinking about where to go. The cake would only be for the two of us, so we didn't want something big. We thought about a couple different cupcake places and he just wasn't feeling cupcakes. And then I remembered the perfection that is Chandler's. We showed up at the bakery and were just enticed by the aroma. Everything behind the glass counter looked amazing. We split a piece of the Mooch Cake which is highly, highly recommended to you by me, friends. The absolute most delicious thing I've ever tasted when it comes to cake. It is chocolate cake plus yellow cake plus peanut butter butter cream icing covered in a chocolate shell. What?! Who even thinks of these things?! We also had a giant ladylock and a tiny cannoli. Yum. Everything was delicious. I have to say that this is my favorite bakery in C'Ville that I've tried to date. If you need a cake or any delicious sugary treat, get yourself here, fast!
